- 256b game MS-Dos HeliCave by Red Sector Inc. [web]
- Sadly not working here on XP Home SP3.
I'm getting a PC Speaker beep and an unhandled exception in ntvdm.exe
nopping out line 53 gets it to run but without sound and keyboard input doesn't seem to work.
Code:;out dx,al ;send midi command
still its got to be one of the nicer 256 byte games I've seen. - rulezadded on the 2014-03-12 20:47:32

- 512b Windows Noisebeep
- rudi: At 512b carrying around a 200 byte decompressor is too much overhead. The smaller the payload the less effective the compression ratio. Better to obtain a handle to kernel32 using the PEB Method and import your functions by hash. It has already been done.

- 512b Windows Noisebeep
- Compression is not worth it at 512b. This looks like a 16b DOS effect when you should be aiming for 128b DOS effect as a minimum, and that is with proper window setup, message pump and polite exit. Yet I cannot find it in my heart to thumb this down.
