hmm... I don't hear any beeping sounds, perhaps because of the missing PC speaker, other than that, TV noise? piggie.

Compression is not worth it at 512b. This looks like a 16b DOS effect when you should be aiming for 128b DOS effect as a minimum, and that is with proper window setup, message pump and polite exit. Yet I cannot find it in my heart to thumb this down.
:/
O_O
rain_storm: Thanks for the thumb! I haven't gotten around doing any exploits on the PE-header yet. Just read a little about it. I bet 128b is an challenge when symbol names plus dll's take alot of space without compression.
Its only 512b but still nothing to write about.
:\
rudi: At 512b carrying around a 200 byte decompressor is too much overhead. The smaller the payload the less effective the compression ratio. Better to obtain a handle to kernel32 using the PEB Method and import your functions by hash. It has already been done.
rain_storm's setup can be optimized to ~350 bytes
(2-byte hashes, better header holes usage, smaller import code),
so ~162 would be enough for some 3d stuff.

rain_storm: oh, awesome work.
no
thumbing down for the same reason T$ did
frag: Can we have a 512b Windows 3D intro thing please ? with sound ? :p
p01 Without sound it would be easy.
Ok, will do it in the last days of September.

A 512b Windows 3D intro thing with sound would be crazy in the coconut but we know you ;)
