- Very nice.

- 64k Windows Paradise by Rgba [web]
- Great visuals. There is no doubt that there are a lot of models and textures in here for 64k. The performance is generally ok, but some scenes become extremely slow, as soon as antialiasing and anisotropic filtering is activated.
Not much to say about music and design. Both are ok. - isokadded on the 2004-07-26 15:52:22
- demo Windows Your Fingers So Gently On My Skin by Plastic [web]
- Great demo!
- The textures and light effects are about the best there is, there is no doubt about that.
- The character animation does not look flawless, but I suppose it is nearly impossible to do it much better without some very advanced tools.
- The music is nice. Still, I think the result would have been better, if you had made your own music while keeping this well fitting general style.
- However, I did not get the story until I read several "interpretations" of it here. I think "too slow" or "too boring" does not apply to this demo, but maybe "too unclear" does. For example, which part indicates that the woman is blind? Also, the last scene should stand in stronger contrast to the other scenes to indicate that it is outside the dream(s). Even now I think that the story and the atmosphere is not really leaving an impression on me, but unfortunately I cannot quite say why. Dreamchild, Fr-035 and especially _ , for example, simply work for me, without knowing in detail what they are about.
In any case, I have to emphasize that this is one of the best demos right now. - rulezadded on the 2004-07-26 03:45:20
- demo Windows bou-NCE by Nuance [web]
- Some really good visuals (e.g. dolphins, spiked spheres), some not so good ones.
The music is ok, but lacks some development.
About the design: It starts off good. There are scenes with different objects and different lyrics, but everything else - the background, the music, the colors, the "flashiness" - basically stays the same. After a while the image of the woman creates a visual break, but not an audible one. The next slow scene with the glowing figure is finally a good break which is also audible. But then, the scenes after the dolphin are quite disappointing, as there is nothing new in them, with the exception of the heart beat scene in the end.
In conclusion: This very much reminds me of "The S" by Suspend. While the visuals in "Bounce" are more advanced, "The S" has better music and a more thorough audio-visual relationship. - isokadded on the 2004-07-23 01:26:40
- demo Windows daddy was a registered trademark by Matt Current [web]
- Very good considering there were no textures, quite a straightforward music and very simple objects. As many have already pointed out, the sync is good, but I think there should be many more synchronizations between cube movements and individual sounds of the soundtrack, as it starts out very well, but then mostly turns into a rather simple cube flyby.

- invitation Windows Symphony 2004 Invitation by Plastic [web] & MadWizards [web]
- I have a Radeon 9700 mobile, basically a Radeon 9600 XT, and at 640x480 6xAA 16xAF it runs at about 20 FPS. I think that is good enough.
The visuals are great! It really does not look much like some simple rendered stuff, probably because of the light/material effects. The blur is also ok the way it is, but definetely not underused, to put it that way.
It would be better if the music were composed by a scener, but this one is really well chosen, just too bad the MP3-quality is so low.
All in all a good demo. It is a pity that many people will not be able to watch it at all because of the DX9 requirement, as the non-shader power of any gf3 or r8500+ would be sufficient, I suppose. - rulezadded on the 2004-07-20 01:43:16
- demo Windows we have molotov by mfx [web]
- Too repetitive, no build-up and lacks interesting effects.
The idea of scanning the disk for images is good, but did not result in anything interesting here, as I have everything on H: - sucksadded on the 2004-06-25 06:22:44
- Windows The Little Things by Fearmoths [web]
- It is really nice to see a serious demo once in a while. Even though the coding is just as simple as the message, it is good enough, to create a good athmosphere. The music is well chosen, the images are good and the lyrics give the hole thing some kind of meaning.
And I do not think it matters if this is posing or not. - rulezadded on the 2004-06-25 06:06:04

- I was referring to your "you have no live"-like comment referring to spengler. His comment was, perhaps, offensive, but if it is his opinion, then you should simply accept or ignore it. I just think that answers like yours lead nowhere, even if they are meant as jokes.
Well, this is my sorrow ;) - isokadded on the 2004-06-19 04:23:08

- - generally interesting style, some tunes are very good, some are too repetitive
- good concept+lyrics
- interface+visuals are not good
- music stuttering is bad
- memory usage is worse (what do you need 200 MB for?)
