• to get the soundtrack just load the avi to a tool like virtualdub and press "demux audio".
  
  though, according to the hardware specs (200mhz, no fpu, few & slow memory), i strongly believe the sound was some kind of module in it's original form.

• indeed a lot of work but artistically pure bullshit.
  the textures are cheap and the text-stuff is horrible.

• recently downloaded a couple of divx-captures from ps2 demos released in the 3rd-creation competition mentioned by "no recess"...
  
  in my opinion they are in no way comparable to the demo posted here.
  these are not demos, but, nicely spoken, just single effects (some of them had sound though).
  
  i also don't see the difference between using the ps2-linux-devkit and the "real" libs provided by sony...
  
  no recess: a 3ds-player showing a scene from an old 98s dos-demo doesn't make a good demo. think about this before blaming oters :)
  
  ah, and, this demo was quite nice, yes.
  mostly a simply 3d show only, but nice music, nice sync and nice colours.
