- Your style is quite recognizable. Making a demo with this kind of story deserves respect, since it requires a ton of work and it's so easy to make it wrong.
You took a very interesting approach. The story has some action and suspense in it, but the direction tries to remove it all: very slow pace, long shots, slow-cutting, lots of fade in/fade out, uneventful soundtrack. Everything tells us the robot is alone and is doomed to fail. And this is very touching.
Without a doubt, this is my personal winner. I'm fine with having only a demo every 3 years if it has this quality! - rulezadded on the 2015-04-07 22:40:50

- Thanks all for the feedback! If you didn't notice, we released a final version. Download link was updated and a new Youtube capture was added.
I hope you'll enjoy it, we tried to fix some of the issues. Don't expect changes in the structure or the music, though. - isokadded on the 2015-03-11 00:04:35

- demo invitation Windows Blitzgewitter by Titan [web]
- Good ideas, good execution.
It doesn't work well as an invitation, but it's a nice demo! - rulezadded on the 2014-06-19 15:38:19
- 4k Windows L'abstraction Dominante by Razor 1911 [web]
- Nice!
This version is much better than the one I saw a couple of hours before the deadline. It's yet another raymarched fractal, but it's better than average. - rulezadded on the 2014-04-27 22:40:40

- You managed to turn a very good concept and a nice setting into a dull fly-by. I really like the idea, with the book, the magic... But you fail at story-telling.
I don't like your camera paths. Why your camera is always moving? You should really think of the progression before making the demo, and think of the intensity level of each shot. You bring life to the scene, make objects fly, and you break everything by showing a static bookshelf. Try to add intensity to your scenes by having fast cuts instead of boring turning-around-an-object shots.
Also, for each shot, you keep one thing in mind: Where will the spectator look? Try to guide their attention. When you have flying objects, the audience will look at them. You have an interesting idea with the painting, but it's wasted because the shot doesn't highlight it.
Throw away your camera and do it again. Throw it away another time, and do it a third time. It should be better.
So, work more on your design, decide what exact story you want to tell. Then work on the progression, adding more and more intensity, polish your demo, and you could have something really good.
Oh, and if you don't have more content, make your demo a bit shorter. And change your music: It doesn't really fit. - rulezadded on the 2014-04-24 00:45:03
- demo Windows 5 faces by Fairlight [web] & Cloudkicker [web]
- Impressive graphics and cool effects! I really like the style.
I feel like the demo is a bit too long (considering what you have to show), but it's minor complaint. - rulezadded on the 2014-03-22 16:48:09
