- demo JavaScript Tão Perto, Tão Longe... by enoughrecords [web]
- There probably aren't many demos that, if you sent them back in time 10 years from today, would truly blow people's minds and provoke a "how the hell...? This is witchcraft" response. But this is one of them. As a fusion of art and technology, this is top-class stuff.

- demo Atari XL/XE numen by Taquart
- There are classic demos, and then there are demos that can be played at every 8-bit demoparty for the last 15-odd years and still have you going "wait, I don't remember seeing that part before...? That's awesome."

- wild Animation/Video Self Evident Demo by UBULAB
- This is the comment that expresses broad appreciation for the aesthetics of the demo, but questions whether it was necessary for the file size to be so big, in spite of the fact that the comment writer only watched it on YouTube anyhow.

- game Amiga OCS/ECS Elfie the Unicorn
- I'm absolutely sure it said AGA on the beamslide during the compo, so that's what I entered into Demozoo. (I'm not enough of an Amiga Person to reliably identify OCS vs AGA prods by sight, so I have to pay extra attention to the info on the beamslide...)
Thumb up because there clearly must have been a moment during the development of this game when they were faced with the task of animating a unicorn climbing up a ladder and thought "wait, this makes no sense. maybe we should change the game mechanic to use lifts or climbable rainbows or something" but then went "hell no, a hypothetical universe in which unicorns can climb ladders is just as valid as any other, and we're going to have an animation cycle of a goddamn unicorn climbing a goddamn ladder" - rulezadded on the 2018-07-27 16:03:06

- ZX Spectrum Buttercream Sputnik by HOOY-PROGRAM [web]
- @Akio Tenshi: I'll work on one soon!
@El Topo: The 'stripey' rendering is correct - the lines alternate between the Spectrum's bright and non-bright modes to provide more possible colour-mixing variations. It seems that the Spectrum we captured from (a Just Speccy 128 board) has lower-than-usual contrast between the two modes, so that effect was lost a bit on the bigscreen. - isokadded on the 2018-06-27 12:26:11
