I don't know anything about Speccy graphics modes, but thumb for the tune alone

What bossman said.
Thumb up for the name and the tune.
I didn't get to check out the namesake cake this time at least. Too much fish and chips action for me.

Simple* but good.
* apart from the graphics mode, which sounds anything but :)

still inventing new modes for this decades old machine! only demoscene can bring this sort of enjoyment!
Gratz on pulling this off on original hardware for the first time!
Also loved the part of the scroller about the greetings! ;)

More pics! Any displaying and converting tool available?
Nice achievement. Does the effect come off right in an emulator like Fuse? It seems a lot less "stripey" in this y't vid: https://youtu.be/ErG0aMc6fFE?t=6m54s
Also, sweet tune.

@Akio Tenshi: I'll work on one soon!
@El Topo: The 'stripey' rendering is correct - the lines alternate between the Spectrum's bright and non-bright modes to provide more possible colour-mixing variations. It seems that the Spectrum we captured from (a Just Speccy 128 board) has lower-than-usual contrast between the two modes, so that effect was lost a bit on the bigscreen.

"layering different screens on top of each other"
(ultra niche zx-multcolour/orb joke)

@evilpaul
tech's good, but that AY cover of Little Fluffy Clouds is to die for!
Didn't get a chance to properly watch yet but yes the LFC cover.
Excellent. Keep pushing the ZX to the limits!
Does not work on my Sinclair ZX Spectrum +2A :(
