  Last time she didn't make it, with 'Reach', she had a tantrum, remember ?
  As she won, at last, she'll save the visit to the shrink this time, that's really good news.
  
  Are the glitches in the initial zoom part of the demo normal ?
  What's the goal of the hideous twister effect, with its even more hideous fonts ? I don't get it ...
  Is it final version, how is that possible ?
  
  Why are the graphics so globally hideous ?
  The Archie has 256 colour modes and here it looks like there are not even 8 on screen ?
  Is it on purpose, because 'steam punk' must mean 'ugly' ?
  I really, really, don't get it.
  
  Fortunately the tune is really great, and it more or less saves the day.

  This 'car crash' prod needs a 12 Mhz machine, and even with more than 7 MIPS available there are some slowdowns ...
  Atari coders do much better on an Atari STE with its 8 Mhz 68000.

  nvm i found it. well, what Serpent said. i'm not exactly blown away tbh. it has some impressive bits in it, but the overall production is a mess, and most of it i actually found quite dull. some effects i've seen on an Amiga 500. plus contrary to what you say, it does NOT run smoothly all the way through even though the video was captured from a 26MHz archie! and i also noticed a few glitches here and there. not a bad demo for its day perhaps (1995) but i'm not convinced.

  Thanks for admitting this prod is no better than what we had, and that run smoothly on an Archie running 33.33 % slower :-)
  Btw it's a great idea to compete at Nova, where the overall quality of productions is poor : you just need to produce sthing a bit less shitty than the majority to be 1st.

  This is literally the best demo to ever come out on an Acorn platform in my opinion.

  
  
  Watch the XTreme megademo then.
  Not only it runs smoothly on an 8 Mhz Archie ( not the case here, it needs a machine running 50% faster ) but more importantly the XTreme megademo is well coded : there are no display glitches, contrary to this production where you can note graphics glitches, starting with the opening screen.
  The XTreme megademo is neat and polished, contrary to this sub Atari STE production.
