- intro Commodore 64 Weasel is 50+1 by Padua [web] & Insane [web]
- Ohhhhh yeahhh.... !!!!! You're so right, pro ! ;-)
This was/still _is_ such a really nice surprise to see for me.
Thanks to all and everyone involved in this, mates ! :-D
The tune from Toggle is just _fabulous_ and fitting so well into the whole production here. Like and listen to it really a LOT since release. :-)
Also thanks to Premium for the nice logo(s) and even more for the really cool scrolltext as well. :-)
And last but _not_ least at all... BIG THANKS to Dano, too !! For that cool (retro)idea and coding, fiddeling and even the fade-in with modem blueboxing sounds and stuff as well !! :-DD Sooo funny, pal !!!
Well, there'll be still many more years to come for me (hopefully ;-) )... and it's damn sure that I won't ever really leave the _best_ scene ever - in my life !!
c64 just rules forEVER !! :-D - rulezadded on the 2022-09-09 17:54:32

- Damn...still not working with Win7-x64 !! :-/
Would someone mind releasing a fixed version of this genius piece of intro, please??!
I'm sick of just being able to watch the video capture of this one here! :-/// ;-)
Thanks,
Weasel

- @prismra:
Works here with Win7 x64 ultimate, GF8800 GTX !
(but only if you don't change the Hz setting to anything else than the default 85Hz setting. ;-) )

- 64k Windows fr-019: poemtoahorse by Farbrausch [web]
- Just here to let everyone know that this doesn't run properly on win7 (x64) and/or the current nvidia x64 drivers 197.x for win7 anymore.
E.g. the smashing glass part doesn't produce smashing glass anymore but just some flickering polygons. There are like 1-2 more scenes looking different meanwhile.
Sad to see such a nice prod going down with the ongoings of new OSs and/or graphic-drivers as it seems...
Someone wanna FIX this (and various other demo-prods not quite compatible with win7(x64) anymore nowadays !!) ?? ;-)
Would be a shame if not, wouldn't it?
Bye,
Weasel

- Really nice invitation!
Not overdosed with any fx but really nice oldschoolish design and really GREAT music fitting perfectly to the style as well!
Looking forward to visiting buenzli in about 10 days! :-D
Keep it rockin' PARADISE !!! :-)

Thanks for the hint! It works indeed! Justt needed to visual c++ SP1 redist (second link from ryg's post) which made it work after all! :-)
Anyways, hope this will be gone in your 'final' release version then! ;-) - isokadded on the 2009-04-25 00:29:09

- Saw it at BP09 after TG09's show already...
Really another FANTASTIC ASD prod!! :-D
BUT:
When trying here at with my machine I get an error:
"ASD-Rapture.exe: Couldn't initialize correctly! Press OK"
D/L'ed the version from TG09 (scene.org) and the one linked here directly from ASD site! Both give the same error!
My specs:
Core2Duo E6600, Nvidia 8800GTX, latest drivers, latest DX9, winXP SP3.
So please don't tell me now that an 8800gtx is already too 'outdated' for this prod, is it!? ;-))) THAT what be _really_ extremely rad, dude(s)... :-)
...and - to repeat the question from above - WHY is the zip _and_ the included .exe called rApture when the prod is listed as rUpture everywhere? Weird !?!? ;-) - rulezadded on the 2009-04-22 13:25:54
