- This tracker has a lot of interesting features. It has tons of options to play with and is probably among the fastest MS-DOS trackers out there. Unfortunately it lacks a volume ramping option like FastTracker II has. The record mode also fails to be accurate for live recordings. Notes being entered fall into the wrong place even if you keep a steady rhythm. The tracker also seems to have some timing problems when playing music. If you listen carefully, you can hear the music go out of sync in a fraction of a second sometimes. I don't know if this is due to a player issue or an incompatibility issue. All the PCs I've tested the tracker on during the years have had this problem, though.
Too bad Prodatron lost his sources due to a hard disk-crash. :-( I would have loved to see these issues being fixed in the foreseeable future. He told me in an e-mail years ago that there also were sources for a newer and unreleased version of Digitrakker on the same hard drive. :-( - isokadded on the 2023-07-31 10:13:43

- This tracker has a lot of interersting features. It has tons of options to play with. It might be underrated, but in my opinion it has some annoying flaws that should have been fixed long ago. The most important thing is that it lacks a decent "record mode". It's impossible to keep a steady rhythm when entering notes on the fly. The notes entered always fall into the wrong place. I remember I wrote an e-mail to Baldric years ago hoping he could address this issue. I got a long and "cryptic" answer. I'm not sure he understood what I meant. ;-)
Secondly, it has no "volume ramping mode/anti click mode" like the one found in FastTracker II (or in more modern trackers). This is an important feature which is a "must" in an audio sample based tracker like this, I think.
As the source code was released to the public 10 years ago, someone could in theory fix these issues. Is there anyone out there up to the task?
