• Someone accidentally gave me a copy of this when I was 12. And it changed my life. It was the first demo I had seen, and its style and music and 70fps scrolling (which I had thought was impossible for PCs) were all mind-blowing. But, more importantly, it included the source code, which led me to get into ASM and demo coding. I can't overstate how important this demo was to me.

• A few problems (especially the mapping of the textures) but I would have voted this 7th at least. I'm surprised a demo with such sophisticated effects got ranked so low.
