- demo MS-Dos Windows The only thing moving was the eye of the blackbird by Carrots
- My initial impressions were good when the screen faded in to some sort of a desert scene accompanied with an unusual non-electronic soundtrack - well ok, electric organ but sounding like in old songs. Unfortunately the impression didn't last, the song gets first repetitive and then downright annoying and I suppose it wasn't so well made in the first place. The demo turns out to be a pretty boring flyby with a strange character model and some ok water & dynamic lighting effects (which I guess must've been something back when this was new as this isn't even accelerated).
I had to go 16bit to get it running on WinME by the way. In the end, the same thing that first raised my expectations ended up totally ruining the experience for me - the music. - sucksadded on the 2006-08-09 19:44:04
- demo Windows Battery by quad [web]
- A fair little piece. The musical style and (heavily used) overlays remind me of dsd but most of the effects are 2D unlike DSD. Pretty nice red and blue background distortion stuff coupled with the overlays make up the bulk of the demo. There are also a few 3D scenes, one of which is positively ugly.

- demo Windows 76 by Phrenetics
- Abruptly ends for me too on WinME so I guess it might just be that way.
No hidden gem here. Guess this may've been a tiny bit above the average for it's time but definitely nothing special and lots of great demos already back then.
I like the music though it isn't really anything memorable. I also like the 2D lights-following-a-circuit part and it starts out pretty well. No real design or connection between different parts, pointless and ugly 3D are what describes most of the stuff though and although this demo features a piggy, I'm not going to give it one. - sucksadded on the 2006-08-09 19:11:51
- intro MacOS Harassment by Zerius
- I'd say among the better early mac demos. Mostly just rather typical effects of the time. I like the greetings. The design's really not there but then, such demos were very few during '94.

- intro MacOS Frivolous Exodus by Zerius
- Extremely basic. Apparently "the first vector demo on Macintosh". Guess that makes it historically significant in a small way.

- demo MacOS Demoid by Coderonin
- Everything here can be seen from the screenshot. Very classic type, just the effect, scroller and some looping music. I wonder if the scroller's mention that the next prod will feature original music means this track isn't by him. Nothing special but it is on the mac. :)

- intro MacOS Erotomania by Zerius
- The screenshot tells the story, among the better mac68k demos technically and it's certainly very demolike but I'm sad to say I can't see anything particularly likeable here. Still, it's not like there's a vast amount of demos for 68k macs. :P

- demo MacOS Chrystar Demo by Nemesis Productions [web]
- The screenshot doesn't really let you in on the fact but I think it's a nice little demonstration of various objects represented by dotfields. Particularly like the Chrysler building. Very simple for '94 I guess but I find it kind of charming in it's simplicity.

- intro MacOS RAiD Intro by RAiD Crew
- Very very little here, the scene in the shot is the only one and it ran really fast so I couldn't read the scroller. Not much to say, not really good but then that's to be expected on a minority platform...

- demo MacOS Chaos Mint by Nemesis Productions [web]
- Anagrams have been featured in other demos since and this seems really, really, really simple seeing that it was released as late as 1996. The utter simplicity could be viewed as design I suppose and whether forced or intentional this dose posess some amount of it.
