- demo Windows Polygonesia by Polypunks
- It might also be worth mentioning that the log file mentions that my hardware can't interpret the dated technique of vertex tweening (dropped entirely after DX10 apparently) so there's a chance I wasn't even watching it as it should look and might require an older graphics care to run correctly. Something to test another time, perhaps.

- Heh, I actually really like this but that's just the sort of person I am.
There's actually no need to extract anything to your D: drive, especially if you actually still have a DVD there like me. The demo (eventually) finds the files it's looking for. It also runs fine in a window using XP compatibility mode, even if it doesn't appear for some minutes.
Yes, it is quite broken- you have to watch the first few minutes twice as it eventually gets around to decompressing everything; some of the characters appear to be chilling out, sliding around on their backs, occasionally clipping through things. The (fantastic) music (from what album?) runs out half way through too but I think the models are really quite nice even if the (lack of) lighting reminds me of bad early 3D games from the 2000s and the sky effect is very beautiful. There's the start of some nice work here IMHO; it's just a shame it wasn't tidied up. It even keeps running at the end so you can admire that sky for a bit longer! - rulezadded on the 2020-09-19 02:45:34

- Don't be so sensitive. It's risqué, puerile and explicit material but not explicitly racist or homophobic. The Noah's Ark one is actually pretty funny.
Well drawn graphics and even a 3D intro but I have no idea what the model in that bit is supposed to be. A gallows? - rulezadded on the 2020-08-05 03:17:23

I'm always amazed by this. You'd have thought this was the greatest time of their lives. - isokadded on the 2020-08-03 15:13:31

- I'm no programmer but thinking more about it, with WebGL able to run on a whole spectrum of hardware by nature of its design, there is the fact that you can get this going on anything powerful enough. Thumbs up for that.

- demo JavaScript fr-099: Aphelion by 5711 [web] & Farbrausch [web]
- Ultimately very inefficient for what it does. Doesn't implement a music generator and seems to use almost 3GB of RAM! Reminds me of prods from years ago.
I can only assume that it's a challenge doing this with JS in a browser and I guess that's interesting if you're approaching coding this way. And it's surely no surprise in this day and age that a phone can run this? - isokadded on the 2020-07-30 01:31:34
- demo Atari STe Hard As ICE by Inner Circuit Explorers
- Works well on STEEm SSE (https://sourceforge.net/p/steemsse) but couldn't get it to fly properly on Hatari although your mileage may vary. At least you can read the scroller easier when it's bugged out!
