I still don't think you can do it. ;-)
I guess you need to show it in a compo. Yeah. It's more fun that way. - isokadded on the 2006-05-29 23:48:11

- shifter, just a remainder that the crate of beer has still not been aquired. :-)
Please keep coding on the gba! Don't let this platform die!

- Rotating backgrounds, sprites, twister. Codewise, this is textbook stuff. No offence.
So you can tweak sprite registers at 60hz..
Can you do _glow_?
Fun to watch though! Thumb it! - rulezadded on the 2006-05-28 14:59:30
- demo Gameboy Advance Five Finger Discount by Shitfaced Clowns
- Remember there's still a crate of beer waiting for the one who can match our gba glow! (Although we don't think you can do it!)
We couldn't fit the new glow into ram for this demo, so the one in Newton is still the state of the art. ;)

- demo Gameboy Advance Newton never did this, BITCH by Shitfaced Clowns
- Hey guys!
Glad you liked this!
I'm pretty happy about this myself, our first GBA production.
Thanks to loaderror for listing all the effects, because we were not too good at showing off the effects properly. For example with the sausage, it's impossible to see the actual effect.... But that just means we'll use the same effects again in our next demo, but then show them off better.
Sorry about it not working on f2a. We read somewhere that all recent flash cards supported the lowest waitstate-setting, but that was obviously wrong. Next time we'll try to auto detect it.
Here's a challenge: I'll buy a six-pack of beer to the next guy who does glow on the GBA (in the same quality - 8 shades per node with shooth gradients in between. 4 shades is pretty trivial, but very ugly.)
Cheers! And the GBA is by far the most fun platform i've coded on! :) - isokadded on the 2005-10-13 20:10:36
