- demo Linux MS-Dos Windows State Of Mind by Bomb
- kodoichi: Well, it still is a message even though senser provided the words. A message that bomb has seen fit to enhance with a demo. And mind you, not everything in the demo is in the song. "work. buy. consume. die." for one thing is not.

- demo Windows Solids of Revolution by Alpha Millenium Crew
- Seems to be having some issues with sync/effects running too fast on faster hardware even on win9x. I like the simple addition effects here and this kind of oldskool style has always appealed to me.
Some thought must've gone into how the different scenes fit together and mempheria's music is great as always. Nice little upbeat demo that really doesn't do anything revolutionary but I seem to have a thing for the style. I'm inclined to think of Boost, Enlight the Surreal. :) - rulezadded on the 2006-08-14 22:09:38
- demo Amiga AGA Atari Falcon 030 Silkcut by The Black Lotus [web]
- Quite beautiful indeed. Graphically not so consistent but nothing seems totally out of place either and the individual scenes are just lovely. In addition to that this is another demo soundtrack I find myself wanting to listen even when not watching.
I particularly love the beginning and the end on this one, I found them very skillfully composed with a lot of attention to detail. - rulezadded on the 2006-08-10 19:53:58
- demo Amiga AGA Atari Falcon 030 Ocean Machine by The Black Lotus [web]
- This demo has grace. Yolk's awesome music is what sets the mood and the demo follows well. I like it most of the TBL demos I've seen recently and I suspect I'll be liking it for many years to come.
I struggled with what is the underlying "theme" here. Seems that this is more of a poetic demo. Nature, soft forms and abstract.
The voxels could use some precision but I still found myself admiring their beauty, the choral type structure and the perfect ending deserve mention.
I have an urge to mention almost every part of it but I'll refrain from doing so and will just close with saying that the dancer was one of the most beautiful scenes based on the real-world I've ever seen in a demo.
Grace. - rulezadded on the 2006-08-10 18:55:36
- demo Windows Anterpe-Kiew by Trauma
- Talk about failing to make a point. This is easily one of the more interesting Trauma demos since so many times the art aspect takes the backseat and technology is what they are demonstrating in their works.
The old PC Demo fanclub site articulates one quite special aspect of demos compared to many other artforms when describing orange's megablast. A good demo should "invent new images for the computer screen", the kind that you'd never even dream about.
This one has some of that while most Trauma demos don't. That makes it an interesting watch even if it's no masterpiece probably because it was never intended to be. Oh well, one man's crap is another's art. - isokadded on the 2006-08-10 17:57:31
- demo MS-Dos Windows Dark side of the sun by apocalypse inc [web]
- The fractal stuff is the only even remotely interesting part. This doesn't do anything terribly wrong except for perhaps the both stupid and ugly writings but it doesn't do anything right either.

- demo MS-Dos Windows Underdown by Scarab Corpse [web]
- The soundtrack flows nicely and that's it. No design, only a slight control of the colours and run-of-the-mill effects.

- demo Windows Da First by Link The Energies [web]
- Listenable, watchable. Not that I really object to rips but without the manga this demo would be nothing and now it's mainly a slide show with an ok tune so I don't really feel it's destined to be among the greats or even the averages.

- demo Windows Madness by Orion [web]
- Could've done without the vocals and Boris Vallejo art. It manages to look interesting at some few points but mostly just looks like many early 3d accelerated demos. Translucent balls... ugh. No design. There are better demos from orion than this.

- demo Windows Little Simple Demo by knights [web]
- Like the happy happy joy joy techno mood, but particularly the text presentation makes it feel really cheap. Simple, far from good-looking styling combined with dead-easy and awful floating-effect...
Colors all over the place but I don't have a problem with that as such. OK is what it is. Too bad it crashes. - isokadded on the 2006-08-09 21:46:14
