Size optimization tricks thanks to leaked win2k source
category: general [glöplog]
The leaked source should give opportunities for size optimization, since, at least as far as i know, the source for win32 subsystem dll's was in the leaked code. Have anyone looked at the code from this point of view?
The leaked source should give opportunities for getting sued by Microsoft
The leaked source should make you .beautiful
Leeks are a good source of fibre.

Yeah, and what great size optimization that only works with certain builds of one Windows version.
I've had enough of that in 4k intros, thanks.
Hmm, I just thought of an evil plot: let's put parts of the leaked source in our demos as sublimal images, and then watch from a distance how the entire demoscene is getting sco'd by Microsoft ;-)
Yes, that's really funny.
Besides:
Inspecting the Win2k source... - to able to create intros a few bytes smaller... ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Sorry, but that sounds like that's one of the most pointless things I've ever heard.

Hmm, the name of that function seems more insane to me than the calling convention.
Oops, it's a file... but still an insane name :-)
Um well, if you look closely you may spot where the backslashes went missing. I'll give you a hint:
It's private code, for a shell extension called Tweak UI.

It's not that the calling convention itself is insane. It's the fact that it's a VARIADIC function using the pascal calling convention. Oh well..
sagacity: if you have to look closely before you understand what it's says then it's an insane name... period. :-)
unless any of you are stoned, what point is there in all of this?
