Recorded Live Concerts of Demos' Soundtracks?
category: music [glöplog]
Hello!
I just discovered http://www.accxess.se/ and I enjoyed watching those orchestra concerts of old demos' soundtracks. Too bad there weren't any Future Crew's tunes like Second Reality! Are there more of these?
Thank you in advance. :)

Funny you should mention Future Crew, because these days Purple Motion is THE go-to guy for full-orchestra arrangements of video game music. Here's his arrangement of Great Giana Sisters - google "Symphonic Shades" for more. (He's done other videogame concerts, but I think that's the only one covering the C64/Amiga era.)
I'm not aware of any orchestral versions of *demo* music specifically... it's probably a bit too "niche audience".

Bummer. Should do an orchestra version like Video Games Live of these demos. ;)
Hmm. Sole's blogpost about Onward Ride referenced from wysiwtf's link has this comment from a certain Gloom, dated 2012-01-25:
That sounds like something I want to hear. Hey Gloom... has "the future" happened yet? :-)

I've actually had this arranged for a full orchestra and choir. Look for it to appear somewhere big in the future.. ;)

That Giana Sisters arrangement is giving me a lot of Basil Poledouris vibes. In a good way.
