"ZERO1 Fellowship in partnership with Adobe
Deadline July 27, 2012
ZERO1 is currently seeking candidates to apply for a ZERO1 Fellowship in partnership with Adobe’s Creative Technologies Lab (CTL), a group of scientists and engineers with backgrounds in computer graphics, computer vision, audio, and human-computer interaction who invent and develop new technology targeting the full spectrum of Adobe’s products. ZERO1 invites artists and interaction designers to apply for this unique opportunity. We are especially interested in candidates who have prior experience working with computer scientists and engineers to create new technology. The main goal of the Fellowship is to develop an innovative new piece of technology that addresses key problems or enables creative opportunities for one or more of Adobe’s primary user populations: creative professionals, consumers and developers. Thus, a critical component of the application is a clear and convincing proposal that describes this technology (which could be a mobile application, web service, physical device, etc.) and its potential impact on Adobe customers and how it will change their lives.
The Fellow will be fully embedded in CTL (in Adobe’s San Francisco location) with access to the appropriate resources to support their activities. As part of the ZERO1 Fellowship program, the candidate will also have studio space at the ZERO1 Garage in San Jose and be expected to participate in ZERO1 Fellowship activities including workshops, public presentations, exhibitions, and publishing. The project duration is 1 year, and the candidate will receive a stipend award and be appointed as staff at Adobe with a commensurate salary of $100,000 supporting the Fellowship.
The following materials are required for application. Please e-mail submissions to sarahbeth@zero1.org
• Current professional vita
• One-page summary of a proposed creative research and/or project focus.
• Link to current work or works in progress
• Contact information for three references"
