Have you tried SSDO?
category: offtopic [glöplog]
I'm interested in watching some results, knowing speed, techniques and so on... Have you tried it already?
Tried the basic variant briefly but couldent get it to look nearly as good as the screenshots in the paper. Its the usual story when it comes to these types of effects: Theory looks simple enough but without reference source its difficult to know if you got it right or how they tweaked it to get their results.
Sidenote: When browsing the shader sources of Adapt's latest demo I noticed that there is an SSDO output variant there. Cant tell if its being used or not and I cant get the demo to run on my ATI. Although I have seen that Adapt sometimes plays around with multiple distinctly colored lightsources and then SSDO might be specifically interesting.
