Are you able to run Variform in Vista?
I'm trying with different compatibility modes, with no success...

You can't even run the good old linux port of Variform in modern linux!
;)
;)
I can run Variform on my current version of Ubuntu. It crashes tho :P
Well, it won't run even on my XP SP3 32bit (GF8600GT, AMD64 3000+).
Black window for a while, and then it just disappears.

It hasn't run on osx for a long time too. I'd love to watch it again, but of course: i'd like to see a new demo more :)

shit, that had me all excited.. and it really does work! But I'm suspecting it's my memory that's faulty, not the demo. X-mix isn't working, so I'm probably thinking of that :(
Oh, and a kewlers return would rule :D
i get some assertion fail.
grab the video.
This one also crashes on Vista. It looses the D3D Device, it says. By the way, one of my favourites demos:

Also, in Vista you don't hear the sound of Micropolis.
And so on ..
Kisses for all .

what psonice said
an assertion fail in an shipped build, that's rich
psionice: They both started failing for me when I upgraded to Leopard. Haven't tried in a while so yeah, it might work on 10.5.6..
preacher: perhaps that was it then. I guess scoopr will know. But variform is definitely loading and starting OK (not run it all the way through, i'm at work). X-mix went to a black screen and no further.. i didn't give it a huge amount of time, but i don't remember it taking a long time to load, so I'm guessing that one is dead still.
