deliplayer.com

..what happened to it ?
it has been down since a couple of weeks resp. right now it is gone for good ?!
I know the player can still be downloaded from other "generic download sites" but I think it is a shame that the original site totally disappeared !
Is anyone still in contact with the developers ? We should put up a mirror
on e.g. untergrund.net, I'm sure Scamp would help out with that ?!!

The developers haven't worked on DP for at least 2 years, as far as I know.
apparently, yes. I just think that deliplayer has been a memorable contribution to both the amiga and the pc scene and deserves a place on the web even if there will never ever be a new version of it.
might be a good idea to check if the creators want to see it resurrected at all before discussing details such as hosting
Hate the interface but it plays pretty much anything you throw at it out of the box.
i know that coma on modland has every version of it on his sever... didnt seem to bother peter/florian even when they were active...
A little develope is still made, but only on the players thanks to don adan..

try XMPlay instead.
It plays pretty much everything deliplayer does, and has imo the nicer interface.

The .sid functionality of XMPlay seems to randomly crash. This has been reported (not by me) on the plugin page at the XMPlay website but noone seems to be bothered to do anything about it. Sad.
XMPlay has been my winamp for years :)
UADE for the fucking WIN.
XMPlay! :P
support.xmplay.com is NOT the XMPlay website, it's a 3rd party support site, mainly offering guides, archiving XMPlay releases and collecting plugins, skins and visualizations in one place. Plugin developers don't generally hang around on the support site reading comments.
The XMPlay homepage is http://www.un4seen.com/xmplay.html
and the correct place to report bugs is the forum at http://www.un4seen.com/forum/?board=2, for the SID plugin specifically, http://www.un4seen.com/forum/?topic=3838.0.

Aye, aye.
Maybe you guys are right, it probably is up to the developers to provide/decide for a final resting place..
I know of UADE and I am really glad it exists.
Concerning XMPlay: Had a look at the latest version, it definitely is a good player
but I found the following issues with the SID and UADE plugins:
- (like El Topo already mentioned) SID player randomly crashes (but sounds very good!)
- UADE plugin does not support all 8 channel replayers (e.g. Oktalyzer, AON8) (the original UADE does!)

XMPlay is good, but I wouldn't say it "plays pretty much everything DP does". Which is sad because DP is such a pain to use. :( If it's dead though, has anyone tried requesting a copy of the source code? You could chop it up and turn it into a bunch of XMPlay plugins. Cause, that would be cool.
used all those years deliplayer on amiga and then on pc.. without a deliplayer i get not my daily prayer.

Or, give the interface an overhaul so that it's actually usable, and make XMPlay obsolete ;)
I swear by XMPlay for my daily audio needs, but DP is still quite necessary for the more exotic (Amiga) formats.
the source code has been requested on the DP forum along time ago, but the developers didn´t want to share it, as like they said "it´s about 10 mb of code, and it´s to complicated for a person who did´nt programmed it, to get an comprehensive view of all it´s funktions etc etc..." - it was basicly that they told us...
Does anybody got some news on this amazing player?
