yes i remember the .lit-craze on the pc textmode art scene... lit-groups popping up from everywhere... and i hated it all the time! because most of the texts were sub.mediocre at best.
but tmb, if you really care, you should check the acid archive... these packs should be hidden wsomewheere between the ansipacks...
tmb: there is a mirror of acid artpacks collection on scene.org.. (its collection of all artpacks, not just theirs)
meaning that if you search for those acronyms on scene.org/search.php you'll find them... some atleast...
or you can also just html browse their index.. by year...

hm, I never even thought there was something like that, I've never met this so far. and I find it quite a cool thing to do, I think I'll talk a few people into releasing one. :)
Apologies in advance for bumping a three year old topic.
As far as I know, Soulz at Zero (SAZ) was one of the first dedicated lit groups to hit the scene. The group was founded by myself (Jack Flack) and The Stranger. We produced monthly lit packs once a month for two years, starting in September of 1994 and ending in September of 1996. We had a niche following and several other lit groups were either inspired by us or copied us -- either way was okay with us, as both scenarios meant people were reading our (sometimes referred to as "sub mediocre") lists.
Lit groups had a fairly small audience to begin with, and like many other art groups of the time, we were put out of business by the World Wide Web (among other things).
If you are interested in reading a short summary of Soulz at Zero, here is a link to the Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soulz_at_zero
A couple of years ago, I converted all the old SAZ packs to graphic files (to preserve the shoddy ansi work) and put them on the web. The SAZ website contains every pack, comments on every pack by The Stranger and myself, and some other fun things like a history of the group presented in MP3 format. The link to that site is: http://www.robohara.com/saz
Sorry I arrived three years too late. If you have any other questions about the group, drop me a line and I'll answer you around 2011.

flack, nice work with the site.
wow, didn't know .lit subscene started that early. respect for being pioneers! =) eventhough it created so much sub-mediocre following...
and yeah, very nice site!
flack: cool stuff
wow, that's a remarkably bad wikipedia page. could it be because it's solely been written by 1 person?
Nice site, but is it also possible to download the original packs somewhere?
http://www.candelabra.org/, as referred to in the wikipedia-entry looks like an ad-only site
Yeah, unfortunately it looks like Candelabra has folded. Fortunately the old Candelabra site has been moved to/archived at candelabraproductions.com. I'll update the links on the SAZ site and the remarkably bad Wikipedia page.
Adok, I added a new link to the SAZ page that links to a zip file of every SAZ pack. 25 packs, less than four meg. Good times.

Cool. Thank you.
