Monopoly platforms and running demos

I'm pretty sure that anything but those "ad-hoc" signatures that are only valid on your own machine requires a 100$/year developer account.

If it does not cost money to me, I'm happy to sign any executable I code before distributing it. Anyways, I should appear in the credits ;)

Using an ad-hoc signature for other people to run the code will not work if I understand it correctly.

The answer is clearly to distribute demos in sourcecode form then.
that's exactly what i do for my ios demos as a contingency plan for whenever apple decides to not allow demos on the app store anymore :)

No I'm not so regard my statements as coming from my rear end :) I base it on this quote:

Code:
I didn't test ad-hoc signing before, because I didn't realize there would be difference. After all, ad-hoc signing is specifically designed for running software "locally", in other words, on your own Mac, not on someone else's Mac. As far as I know, it's not intended for software distribution.
So perhaps it is possible.

Looking forward to Signckler, where your Ed25519 signature can overlap the relocation table and/or be used as note data for your synth.
