What are your favorite prods that involve hardware engineering as well as coding?
category: general [glöplog]
Context:
So I was searching for impressive prods to share with this really nice guy from ARM who I met at a conference and spent some time with.
I came up with a small list and went searching on Pouet to jog my memory. But voting for Wild platforms isn't as active as for microcomputers and the categories don't make it easy to search for stuff like self-built platforms because these are weird edge cases not worth messing with the database for.
I did come up with a list (a weird combo of obvious older things like Craft and Youscope and more recent impressive not-exactly-relevant things 8088 Domination and so on), but now I'm curious.
Leaving aside lft productions, Darklite "Build Your Own" and things like LED cubes . . .
What are your favorite prods that involve hardware engineering as well as coding?
New as well as old.
Hopefully some folks who like what one scener I know referred to as "boring technical feats" (heh) read here . . .
Caveat: This is not the time to argue about "this is maker crap and doesn't belong here".
