Clear cookies?
category: general [glöplog]
Latest Chromium browser (Opera), this is the one site that asks me explicitly to (manually) clear my session cookie when I click login. Was hoping it'd get fixed, but hasn't.
Also wouldn't mind having the log me in for 1 year option back, but I guess that disappeared with sceneid login...?

Using Vivaldi here, which most people consider the opera-successor by now...it´s built upon chromium and uses almost the same base-engine as opera.
I have absolutely no problems with cookies here.
And if i login with sceneid i stay logged in until scene.org-servers (or whatever servers host sceneid) decide to die once in a while, so no need for a 1year option anymore?!
TL;DR: No idea what problem that needs fixing you are talking of there!

@Photon: Same here under FF after the latest update. But not every time.
get this annoying error frequently (Chrome, Android)
I have the same here right now. (Chrome, OSX) When I use an incognito window I'm able to log in.
It happens because your HTTP and HTTPS cookies are out of sync with each other, that's why the site is saying you should delete both.
The exact same thing happens on demoparty.net if you try to log in using HTTP.

on desktop chrome everything is fine, i am logged in just normally constantly.
on mobile chrome (android) i am always logged out. if i tap on the sceneID banner/button, i get a pouet error message "try clearing your browser cookies" - tapping on anything, i am logged in.

Isn't it time to deprecate non-TLS connections to Pouët?
yeah i get erros sometimes cos an internal link redirected me from https to http which is kind of frustrating

Won't that shut out Amosaic users? ;-) Perhaps there aren't any and if there are they can possibly use a rendering proxy like this.

That kind of hint would have saved me tons of trying out all my cookie and do not track settings to have pouet work. Simply use https and be happy...
I clear my complete history incl. cookies at browser shutdown and I use a self destroying cookie add-on for deleting these waste when the webside is closed. Just my recommendation for everybody these days... sure you can do some white listing but hey, why? Cookies without session cookies are lame! imho

You're probably right (that it redirects to https for the login), but only one session cookie was available for deletion in order to fix it...? Says "for any type of connection", if that helps. (And then after a week or so you have to do it again.)
Not that Google is the boss of you or me, but migrating the entire site to https with general redirects is what I see recommended, i.e. not just to keep (Google) search result ranking...?
I use DuckDuckGo privately so how Google ranks stuff is no matter to me (also doesn't have the recent Google Images degradation, recommended.)
But I wrote Chromium based since the issue was probably related to Google (the company).
d4xx: :D made my night :)
