I had the pleasure to attend the second part of Tokyo Demo Fest with a colleague from Nolife.

This party was very enjoyable, the people were very nice and they really are into the demoscene. I could hear them speaking about what they just saw during the demo show and the Amiga during the pause before the compo. I can say that today I really understood there is an active scene in Japan : there were about 40 people attending the demo show & demo compo, which was OK since I guess it couldn't contain more than ~50 people. Some of them were also game programmers in well-known companies.

There were some glitches during the compo (no sound for the loonis & brainstorm entry, maybe an incompatibility with the Japanese-language in the audio engine ?) but overall this was really cool. And there was even an actual 68040 Amiga to run the demos on ;)

Congrats to all of the organizers !
i watched rush hour on the stream :(

@rickst: that's really cool you could attend! Let us know when your video is ready. ;-) Also, of course there *is* a scene in Japan: after all if some guys are motivated enough to come to a demoparty in Europe, that must mean there are many that just couldn't afford it.

I Willy check the code tomorrow. The music is more than half the demo. I suspect sdl audio is to blame. Very ustabile ...
what irc network?
