SCEEN#2 at tUM
category: general [glöplog]
Most of the subscribers among you already had their copy of SCEEN #2 sitting under the Christmas tree this year. Next in line: the tUM visitors. Before the official OUT NOW! frenzy (or the simple chance to order it from our website, for that matter) SCEEN #2 will be available for a special tUM price at the booth of CSW-Verlag later today. Yes, it has the before mentioned 100 pages and more than 3.5 hours of video on DVD. Yes, you'll probably get a copy for free with your tUM winner demo/intro :) .
BTW: Some of the links mentioned in this issue aren't available yet. They will be as soon as the website has been updated. The 'SCEEN meets Phlow' netaudio compilation site will be revamped as well, don't worry.
Alright then: enjoy tUM (yehaaw!) and, while we're at it, happy holidays (for what's left of it)!

can subscribers get some sort of email-confirmation whether their issue has been already mailed?
they all have been mailed on the 17th ... depending on the country to deliver to, it might still be underway. german subscribers (as feedback emails prove) most definately have it by now. i hope holidays don't delay the international delivery too much.
but to answer your question properly: no, there was no individual email confirmation (as they've all been sent in one run). the plan was to send out a general delivery confirmation these days. but now that you bring it up, i'll better do it tonight :) .
monroe, I received my copy this morning. Although I can't talk about the content yet, I can certainly praise the graphical design.. It's a gorgeous magazine you have here.
am i still getting a copy for my article, or should i buy one at tum?
Whoa, can't wait! I loved the first one, and will definitely order #2 when it's officially out :)
knos: thanks much, man! i value your opinion and appreciate your compliments! hope the content lives up to the design ...
dip: as a contributing editor you'll get your specimen copy of course. feel free to pick it up at tUM. just ask Enno at the CSW booth to hand you your copy (with regards from me) or drop me an email in case you don't pick it up there. i'll send you a copy then.
aceman: :)

oh, and of course: issue #2 rocks!
Can I order issue #2 somewhere?
Don't believe what they are writing here. Sceen#2 does NOT exist. This is a fake thread.
selectanovel: i suppose i should NOT send you the two copies you just asked me for via email then? consider it done ;) .
gloom: as soon as the website is updated you'll be able to order it there. there's always the good ol' CSW shop or the german Amazon, but ordering it through the SCEEN website has a better karma, believe me ;) . anyway: aren't you supposed to get a free specimen copy on behalf of portal process anyway?
styx: thanks :) !

Ok, is there a method one can use to check to see if one subscribed a few years ago when one intended to, and if so, what address is listed? Because, well, depending on when I might have subscribed, that might be an address that I may or may not be able to recover my copy.

monroe, got it now, thx!
truck: simple! just get in touch with us and ask. there's no sophisticated automatic web service where one can check for forgotten subscriptions, if that's what you mean. we did send out reminder emails to all subscribers in our database a week before delivery asking them to verify their postal address though. and that worked pretty well. so if you didn't get an email from us, you probably have no subscription. but: in case you subscribed through one of the postcards laying around at parties there is a slim chance that Enno, the publisher and in most cases receiver of the cards, didn't add your email address to our database ... the method is the same though: just drop us (me*) an email and i'll be happy to sort that out for you. thanks :) .

I had it in my hans at tUM, but I haven't bought it yet. So why is it at the website still "coming up"?
HANS OFF!111
i read the #2 issue while doing my shift at the infodesk, it's worth getting tho!

Obviously the german and danish postal companies are not in sync.
However, I'll give it 1 week more before I start raising my eyebrows.

Yeah, found my copy of sceen #2 in the mailbox this evening \o/
monroe: ...About these free specimens, are there any for me? I think I did some demo-reviews or something for the mag a long time ago :)
you cheap fuck :)
kusma: buy it and support SCEEN, godverdomme! ;)
It's here, it's here, it's HERE!
Placed nicely next to the toilet now. ;)
