Ok, couldn't find an official thread handling only this type of requests, so here we go.
I'll start by throwing these features into the air:
1) The ability to subscribe to threads and having an email sent, whenever someone replies to that thread.
2) The ability to put in keywords in your profile and having en email sent whenever someone uses one of those keywords in a post.

3) The ability to link your crews in your profile
i don't think a massive emailing system would be wise (reeesourceees), but maybe more RSS feeds would do the same trick... then you can configure your email client to snatch the feeds, if you want to read them that way.
Kelsey: Nice suggestion. However, I'm using FeedReader for RSS and it does not look like being able to sort incoming message feeds in the grounds of keywords - any suggestions?

Nutman: Well, this thread deals with pretty much the same thing ("Pouet v2" shows up quite a number of times in there), but I must say that having email sent out every time someone replies to a thread has to be the dumbest idea I've heard in a looong while. :)
A BBCode object embed tag using a whitelist (Youtube eg. :) would be nice, and definitely not worse than all the images here ;)
I agree with Lotek. Linking users with their groups sounds good to me.

Well, sometimes I reply to a thread, but then forget all about checking back - it would just be nice to have an application do it for me.
It needn't be an email program - it could also be a new .php page on pouet.net that lets me know which threads I have subscribed to and if there's been posts in those threads since my last post - or something like that.

Changing CDCs is lame and shouldn't be allowed.
pirx: tastes change and new prods gets released every day. forcing to stick to a decision is not a good idea imo.
CDC is something really special, I think if you move it from prod to prod, it's totally worthless. Or maybe I understand CDC's meaning wrongly?
Pirx: A CDC is like having a crush on somebody. This can happen many times and can also diminish with time. I'm pretty sure you once had a crush on somebody and you know doesn't care anymore about that person.

As long as it's done in some other way than in Ojuice (being everyone can just freely enter a random ID to their profile). If you can be certain that someone actually is a member of a group :)

I'm not sure people change them that much anyway. If you watch the CDC list, it remains more or less the same over time.

Hmm, would be a honest way (?) - if somebody changes CDC location, the CDC icon also changes, from heart to a condom, for example.
Just about any phpbb board allows to subscribe to mail notifications for replies. It's not a dumbass feature at all. It's quite a great deal more intelligent at least than checking out the site actively to see if anybody replied.

No, it is not a dumb feature for a proper phpBB-setup, but he wanted it for pouet. Can you imagine getting mail every time someone writes something in a thread here? Err, no thanks.
