Just logos for individual songs, for soundcloud or wherever. (I also embed them as metadata in mp3/ogg releases.) Like I said they're fun to make. :)

@Tomaes : I really like your monochrome graphic. There seems to be so much work put into it and would make for a spectacular end boss too in any 2d shooter.

In general I miss GFXZone - luckily there is still ArtCity.

Baudsurfer: Thanks. I think it was supposed to be a record cover. If you look closely, there are many allusions to music or music making in the picture (the keyboard, the tape recorder things, the disco shades), etc.
Regarding the technique, it takes some times, yes, but when you do it in a software that allows you to paint with 2 colors at one (LMB/RMB), like Paintshop Pro, it goes quite quick. Another nice thing you can do with 1bpp pixel pics is to vectorize them. One example, where I tried this, looks like this:
