2. BRIEF HISTORY (in the order these events happened)
Mindprobe was formed in july of 1993, but there had been co-operation between
Sysostar and Mainframe some time before that (does anyone remember depression?).
Since then, the memberlist has been almost the same (Mixtec joined us in may
of 1994). At first we started to make a demo, but no one of us had really idea
what kind of product we should make: propositions came and went (I still have
2ü different logos in my harddrive). So a demo was never released. Well, we all
live in northern Finland and we have much rainy and cold days, so a party would
be something fun: idea of Abduction 1994 had been born. Quickly we started to
find out exactly what we would do and when. Our first production, ABINTRO, was
released in a hurry. It was ordinary intro with some effects and gfx in it
with a chiptune as a soundtrack. Replay routine was still buggy, but if we wan-
ted people to attend to Abduction, intro had to be released quickly.
Abduction 1994 was a big success, at least in our own opinion. But as always,
there are some scenedudes who think that Abdu94 was a failure. And this is our
answer to you: TWAS NAE A FAELUIRE. (I think my Irish is getting better) We
admit that there was _some_ problems with videoprojector, but it didn't matter,
right? And we are going to do it again next summer!
Unknown demo was released at June 19th of the year 1994. It came 2nd at Abd94.
What next? Who knows, maybe a demo to Assembly94 or a musicdisk (actually it
has been ready for about two months, but the SBroutine has STILL some bugs)

6. JOIN US
Mindprobe is looking for coders. Send a sample of your work to Mainframe and
he's gonna take a look. Disk will be returned with an answer: yes, no or empty.
No musicians needed, but productive and talented graphicians are always welcome
to try. Send the gfx to me (=Cross) and I'll return the disk, oh yes I will re-
turn the disk, naturally with answer. No 3DstudioGods, we already have two of
them :). Addresses above.

7. OPINIONS ABOUT THE NORTHERN SCENE (in this case, NORTHERN equals LAPPLAND)
The following text contains opinions and theories which will cause negative
reactions in some people. In another words: shitheads, don't even bother.
The reason I wanted to express my black'n'white mind is the comments we've
been receiving. We Mindprobe have never been active "scenepersons" and that's
why we might not be aware of all the "behaviourcodas" some lamer-assholes in-
vented a long time ago. Here's some comments I've heard:
        1) the more distsites your group has, the better your group is
        2) our bbs is ultrashitty and lame (it's not so bad after all)
        3) your group is as good as many other group it greets or gets
           greetings from
        4) the more foreign distsites you have, the more power you have over
           other groups
        5) you don't have to have any gfx or music, some ripped-off routine
           should do it
        6) etc.
I don't want to make any generalizations, but these comments seem to have
very common approval. Well, it seems to be that the amount of distsites has
replaced the quality and quantity of your products. So what's the point,
some of you may ask, and it's that we don't want to be mixed with these cool
scenegroups although we get greets from them, even if we don't know them or
have any contact with them. I'm always open to other opinions so if you think
you agree/disagree with me, write a letter and I'll try to answer it. You
can't leave a message for me in some silly bbs, because I'm one of those
lamers who don't have a modem. And please, no fuckyou-letters.
                                                -signed Cross, address above
