Technical Info
If you have problems with running the demo hold down <Shift> key during
loading. This will take you to the setup screen. This is particulary
useful if Midas autodetects your soundcard incorrectly or crashes in the
attempt. Moreover, you can choose among few video modes.
Demo supports the following graphics modes:
320x240x16b - native mode
320x240x16b using 640x480x16b - slow software stretching - to be avoided
320x160x16b using 640x480x8b - last resort mode - slow & ugly
512x384x16b - hires modes require a FAST machine. please note that the
640x480x16b - support is partial - not all effects will gain quality.
Banked modes are supported as well as linear. The latter usually prove
to be faster and will be used by default. This can be changed in setup.
Loading UniVBE is generally a good idea, unless your video card is vbe2
hardware compatible.
