*** DO NOT DELETE THIS FILE OR THE PROGRAM WON'T WORK ***

This is the NEW disk magazine shell for the Falcon Owners Group
publication - FALCON UPDATE DIGITAL.

                              TESTED

The FOGMAG Shell has been tested (and works!) on the following
setups :-

                        Falcon030 TOS 4.01
                        Falcon030 TOS 4.02
                        Falcon030 TOS 4.04

                       4 meg memory needed
                        Hard Drive needed

NVDI recommended for faster screen updates
Works under NEODESK 4.0x and greater

Does NOT work with Screenblaster (yet)
                   Does NOT work with MultiTOS

                             WARNING

You will need to run FOGMAG.PRG on a S\VGA monitor in 16 colours, 80
columns with Double Line Off.

                                OR

If you must use a TV/RGB then you must put the monitor into
Overscan mode first, the program GAPOSCAN is provided for you.
Again you must be in 16 colours, 80 columns, interlace on.

                             PATIENCE

Please note that when you first load FOGMAG it will start the
music and then there will be a brief pause of typically 10-15
seconds during which the screen will be blank. Don't panic as the
program is simply setting up the title screen which will be
displayed after this delay. Just press the space bar to remove
the title page.

                             THE MENU

You have five menu boxes down the left hand side of the screen,
you can use the mouse to click inside them or you can press the
keys from 1 to 5 respectively. This will bring up a new selection
of options on the right hand side. You can then click on the
option you want with the mouse by pressing the left mouse button.
If there is nothing under that option then nothing will happen.
Some options lead to pictures, animations, other programs or text
files. Play and see.

                              HELP!

The HELP key will display a brief listing of the keys available
from the main menu. From here it will tell you how to choose
menus, turn the music on/off etc... Use the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON to
exit the HELP menu.

                               INFO

Much like the HELP screen only it displays some important notes,
again use the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON to exit this screen.

                          TEXT DISPLAYER

Please see the HELP NEEDED! file under menu 5 for more
information. From within the text displayer the following keys
work :-

LEFT MOUSE BUTTON Next Page (if there is one)
RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON Previous Page (if there is one)
BOTH MOUSE BUTTONS Quit text displayer
     Q Quit text displayer
     M Turn the music on/off
     1-3 Change screen palette

I openly apologise for the poor text displayer but with only a few
hours to go I had to come up with something due to the program I
was going to use crashing too often. If you can help then read
the HELP NEEDED file and get in touch ASAP.

                     PROBLEMS 'N SUGGESTIONS

If you get a 'nasty error' warning then it is most likely due to
the fact it can't find a specific file. If this is the case you
have an incomplete copy of FALCON UPDATE DIGITAL and should seek a
new one as soon as possible.
