Chaos 3D by Dodger

OK, here it is at last, in all of it's unfinished glory. I'm just getting damn
tired of it sitting here on my hard drive while I am too busy with school to
really do anything with it. I want someone to see it so I feel like I have
accomplished SOMETHING for all the time I have put into this...

--------------------------------------------------------
This will only run on a 386 or better. (Sorry)
--------------------------------------------------------

Take a look at the data file. It is pretty simple (Maybe someday I'll get
around to documenting it). And if you get really bored, they you can try to
make some shapes. Lines are not supported right now 'cause they aren't fast
enough yet.

Start it by typing:
        ROT SHAPES.DAT

If you want music also, type:
    ROT -M AIRY.MOD SHAPES.DAT

Or you can simply type:
    RUNME

(after unzipping it of course 8^)

Here are some keys that control what is happening.

, Previous shape
. Next shape
= or + zoom in
- zoom out
keypad rotate the shape
i j k m move the shape (I think...)
SHIFT-S toggle real and fake shading
SHIFT-R toggle between the reflection and the stars
s show the pretty palette
d enter demo mode. Anything exits
ESC get the hell out of there

The funnest by far is the mouse control.

Hold down the left button and rotate the shape
Hold down the right button and move the shape in the X-Y plane
Hold down both buttons and move in the Y-Z plane
(The mouse moves the shapes along their own axes, and these axes
rotate along with the shapes, so things can get confusing...)

Have fun.

Oh, BTW, all of this exciting stuff has been coded by me, Keith Murray
(aka 'the Dodger', or Dodger for short) of CHAOS Software. The music was
composed by one Glade Diviney (aka 'Sku') (this week) and he sure did a fine
job.

Of course, some of the code has been adapted from all that shit flying around
the Matrix. I would like to especially thank Michael Abrash of DDJ for the
basis for the video mode and the fixed math routines.

And don't forget the music support, provided by the mighty Mark J Cox. Thanks
a lot Mark! I really want that registered version...If I ever get paid...

Standard demo greetings:

Better get in gear Elric!

(That was sure short...8^)
