The Song to the Demo was made by Knuddel using nothing but a computer
and his skills on the guitar. Recording and mixing vocals, guitar and
drum was entierly done on an Apple PowerBook G4 1,5 Ghz, 1.25 Gb RAM.
Using his Battery 2 drummachine, his Telecaster Guitar and an old bass
he found lying around missing one string he put everything together
to come up with 11 Tracks (4 guitar, 1 drums, 1 bass, 5 vocals and one
more for effects) in Apple Logic Express. After that, stuff went to be
mastered and came out f**king neckbreaking. One beer-bottle was smashed
during a "shouting-session" of all the participants...on the same event
as well as during all of the progress of making this, many more of the
stuff usually in these bottles were put to good use...
The whole demo is coded in Java on Mac OS X using lwjgl.
lwjgl is a native interface to openGL. One could say it's like SDL for
java.
The "demosystem" has its own graphical user interface, which is used
to control, arrange and keyframe efect-plugins.
3d data is exported from blender.
Meshes were done in 3ds max and blender.
The demo should work on a MacBook.
