I didn't worked directly with blackpawn before, he did some effects for the demo Mdma/threepixels where he was working with Mac, but somehow since then I always had him on msn. Until one year more or less, I don't remember very well, when blackpawn jumped on me on msn asking about doing a demo together. After having the demoscript definition (xml based) almost ready at this point (sole and me were working on it for a couple o months), we were definitelly needing an editor for that script, so blackpawn appeared just in time. The main target I proposed to him for working on all this was doing a demo for Euskal. But, you know, busy life, the target started to feel unachievable months before Euskal. A couple of months before the party blackpawn surprised me saying that he had the plane tickets and also the entrance sorted for Euskal. Some weeks before that I had my holidays sorted already and I wasn't really thinking about going to Euskal. So I had to change the holidays/plan a bit. I tried to get a plane or train from south of Spain to there (north spain), but it was too expensive. The solution was finally getting a plane from Seville (south of Spain) to London Stansted and once there getting another plane to Bilbao. Yep, looks like in Spain, if you want to go to other cities inside the country in a cheap way you have to travel first to another country =_=U Talking about the demo, before the actual concept I was thinking about two other stories, with already the musics ready for it, but they were way too long (9min) and also they were going to be very hard to produce. So luckily I found Neurokin and he was quite kind of doing a mix of one of the tunes he usually play in lives for the demo. The actual concept it's based on the O2 Poster ADs that are right now all around London. I wasn't able to see a TV one once I was already working on the demo. Luckily, the TV AD that I saw had the bubbles going really fast (something like a pong) and it was hard to see the beauty of the bubbles going down slowly as I imagines when I saw the poster AD. So, here I am, Tuesday 17th of July, less than 1 week for the deadline, working at 42 celsius (and without aircon!) in a town called Pilas (the same place were I did r08080). The music is finally done and the story/plan is also done, so now is just modelling, modelling, learning 3dsmax and shaders. Quite bizarre doing all this stuff in a town where 90% of the people doesn't have a computer yet, at least the food is great :) I wasn't able to speak with blackpawn in a couple of days, hope he is alive and hope he has time to fix the bugs I've found meanwhile he is inside planes :D Well, I better keep working on it now. Hope we finish it and hope you like it, I'll make sure that next prods will have totally original concepts! - trace.xplsv --- --- --- --- More information? --- --- blackpawn: http://blackpawn.com trace: http://trace.xplsv.com neurokin: http://roterfleck.com --- --- --- --- xplsv.com 2006 --- ---
