The B.I.G. Demo by Mr. Styckx
THE B.I.G. DEMO --------------- Yes, you're not dreaming ! This is the conversion of one of the best demo ever made on the Atari ST. It was coded by The Exceptions in 1988 and featured really impressive music conversions by Mad Mad, along with some stunning gfx effects. I tried to match the original demo as close as possible; all timings, colors, musics, ... are the same (although the code has been rewritten totally from scratch). The original texts have been preserved, so you won't see any other text from me in this demo. The only difference is the small VU-meter when you press HELP. This conversion has been written to introduce my YM2149 soundchip emulator, and also as an hommage to one of the best demo crew ever : TEX. Conversion was not as straightforward as you might think, especially for the Digi-Department which simulated 130 KHz sound on ST and uses heavy audio interruption on Amiga to obtain the same sound. For more infos on this conversion, please have a look at the readme file included in the YM2149 distribution archive. Also note that this demo has been developped on a 68000 A500, so I wasn't able to add full AGA and 68020+ cleanup routine. If you have any problem starting it, you might have to disable AGA and/or 68020. Reset your computer at the end (sorry, no return to OS possible). 31/08/1997 by Mr.Styckx
