We sat, Dark-Spirit brought up the idea of a world filled with weird creatures, the origianl idea was to make the world out of many pipes and tunnels, and use 2d effects as textures for the creatures. Kombat sat and wrote the 2d-effects, thor built our initial creature and Dark-Spirit sat and wrote the cool transy music. After watching the initial 'Kahn' figure, Kombat decided he wants to do the tunnels in code rather then having Thor buildign suffisticated tunnels in 3ds. So Kombat and Rage decided to do it in code, decided howto :), and Kombat coded it. Sometime later, after still lacking a main idea, Thor called up and said, 'we need a story, we need something. even soemthing as stupid as somebody stealing their queen or sumthng". Me and Dark-Spirit said, 'hey, in a demo, that could look good", so, we decide about the gem as a power sources, and Thor went on to build the 'steal' scene. A day be4 the party we felt threatend by other groups, so Kombat and Rage sat at Kombats place and started throwing out ideas for cool 3d effects (we were covered from the 2d pov). Lotsa stuff came up but no one was as impressign as the shadows that Rage wrote 2 hours later. At the party palce, we had the opening/ steal scene/ meeting scene and the car scene. We new howto do the end, but we needed another part where the badguy tries to stop our hero. Kombat said, 'lets do a bridge, and then blablablabla", ok, Thor made the nice scene, and then went on doing the final scene, came out cool. Then, Kombat fixed final version of so called 'roller coaster', and at home (now) fixed Rage's shadows (they werent at the party version [sorry Eyal]). We would liek to thank Y.O.E for doing such a wonderfull demo, and moving forward with the Israely scene. We love you all, you are gr8 ppl and that counts more than 1st place at some compo :) Thank you Silvatar for letting us use your Warcraft Font, to everybody who doesnt know, SIlvatar sat and copied the Warcraft font form the screen, PIXEL BY PIXEL, he did it for a game he wanted to do once, and it took him 12 A4 Pages :) 10x Adept for releasing the sources for his Kochanek-Bartells Splines, I coudln't have built that roller-coaster without them ;) (Hint-Hint :) Thanks to Miki/BSP for helping us out with the English text's, 10x alot. Sorry we didn't use 'The Wrath Of Kahn', but its just that most Israelies wouldn't have known waht Wrath means ;) Thanks for support from that blond guy who sat next to us all the party. Just one more thing, The samples of the mechanical hand that steals the gem, are Dark-Spirit's and Kombat's Shaving Machines :) Thats about it, hope you enjoyed the demo, we like it cause it has a story and a theme, and you can understand both by watching the demo, cya soon, Kombat/Immortals
