WebDiskWriter is a tool with ridiculously small memory and CPU requirements that allows you to write disk images directly from the internet via HTTP to disks on your Amiga. Requirements: Kickstart 2.x, network stack, 68000 CPU, a little bit memory, httpclient.library 2.0 Every Amiga can be conntected to the network! - Use for example a PCMCIA network adapter (A600, A1200), - or Plipbox or an ACA500/X-Surf-500 for the Amiga 500, - or a Zorro-II/III network card on A2000/3000/4000. (I didn't try Plipbox myself. I can heartily recommend the X-Surf-500 and X-Surf-100.) The default index URL is: http://home.sm41.de/tek/amindex You can specify a different URL in the command line, or in the address bar. Index files use a simplified (a bit JSON look-alike) format that can contain links to other addresses, so you can build a web. If u r interested in writing your own indexes, download an index, edit, and upload it to your webserver. If you have built a site with interesting files, let me know by sending me an e-mail. This software was hacked together on a few afternoons and might be very buggy.
