Each version is just tweaked so │ that you don't have to look at a horribly stretched screen. │ │ anamorphic16x9 - The 64k version for Widescreen monitors. │ Werkkzeug has the problem that the 64k files it generates only support │ 4:3 resolutions and this one fixes the problem by having an image that │ displays a correct aspect ratio when stretched to 16:9. │ │ letterbox4x3 - The 64k version for 4:3 monitors. │ Simply put, the widescreen image is shrunk to fit on a 4:3 screen. │ │ safe - A version that's not 64k, but should work on all computers. │ Also, you can choose any aspect ratio and resolution in this one. │ It's significantly bigger, but it ensures that you'll be able to │ view this demo, since 64k doesn't work with all computers. │ Besides that, it's the same demo. ────┘ ┌──┤preface───────────────────────────────────────────────── ──── ─── ── ─ │ (TomoAlien Speaking) │ Let me tell you... It was TOUGH for many reasons, but it still was fun. │ Personal problems, exported demo being bugged for cryptic reasons and │ of course... Lack of energy and/or motivation some days. │ │ Tho yes... WE DID IT! Seriously, if it wasn't for ZanaGB's encouragement │ I'd probably give up after seeing how an effect I worked on for like 2 │ or 3 hours straight breaking all sweats (I'm that kind of a person) │ and seriously... export for test... BLANK SCREEN. I debugged it with │ use of DirectX Explorer (gotta thank Matt Stentiford for this program!) │ and Trial'n'Error with operators. Well, was worth it in the end! │ │ There's a bug that only appears in the 64k versions but... I don't know │ how to fix it and well... It still looks good enough for me soo.. :) │ │ I hope you like this rather... different take. Yes, we know not everyone │ will like it, but it ain't about pleasing everyone, because that's just │ impossible, but it's about pleasing people with something nice to │ watch, at least in this case. So, enjoy the show! :) ────┘ ┌──┤metadata├──────────────────────────────────────────────── ──── ─── ── ─ │ Demogroup: bon² (Bon^2 on Pouet and anywhere else without unicode) │ Prod name: MAR │ Prod type: 64k Demo │ Runtime: 3 minutes 15 seconds │ Date: August 2014 │ Party: DemoDays 2014 │ Demotool: Werkkzeug 1.2 by Farbrausch │ Design: TomoAlien │ Graphics: TomoAlien │ Music: TomoAlien │ Help: ZanaGB │ Testing: ZanaGB │ Support: ZanaGB ────┘ ┌──┤greetings├─────────────────────────────────────────────── ──── ─── ── ─ │ Gargaj, sigflup, Forcer, TRSI, Planet Earth, ASD, Quite, Haujobb, │ Booze Design, Hokuto Force, Fairlight, Crest, Titan, Trilobit, Triad, │ PWP, Reality, Paradise, g0blinish (), Spaceballs, │ Farbrausch, Still, Bittin, AMcBain, Baudsurfer and others we forgot ────┘ ┌──┤members├───────────────────────────────────────────────── ──── ─── ── ─ │ TomoAlien, ZanaGB ────┘ ┌──┤links├─────────────────────────────────────────────────── ──── ─── ── ─ │ bon² on Pouet.net: │ http://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=12302 │ │ bon² on demozoo.org: │ http://demozoo.org/groups/50138/ ────┘ ┌──┤something serious├─────────────────────────────────────── ──── ─── ── ─ │ (TomoAlien Speaking) │ This demo wouldn't be possible without ZanaGB's help. In fact, a lot of │ things I started working on and FINISHING (I often lost motivation) are │ thanks to her. She helps me get over my anxiety and gets me to actually │ do things. I can't say how grateful I am for that. I also do my best to │ morally support her, even though it's really hard. Too bad I don't have │ a job yet (I'm still studying) and therefore can't affort to support │ her financially, since she's being restricted from even getting a job │ by her abusive parents. So now... I'd be really, REALLY appreciative if │ you did what I wanted to do to her, and that is giving her some money │ so she'll be able to actually run away from the "home" she's in and │ get to live in an environment that's not hostile and dangerous. │ How dangerous is her environment? Well, for starters... being set on │ fire by her classmates during a school trip to Rome (saved herself │ by jumping into a nearby pool) and being harassed on a daily basis. │ And yes, those are two of less horrible things she endured through │ her lifetime. I know... You might be thinking I'm making this up... │ I wish I was making it up, since nobody should go through such things │ in their life. The worst part is that she is being terrorized by others │ with threat of everything being taken away from her if she does actually │ report this to authorities. Basically, she'd be left without any kind │ of shelter, contact, clothing and medication. │ Her parents are threatening to cut off her supplies if she doesn't │ do what they want her to do. For now... I can only think of donating │ money to her so she can get a shelter and such quite easily after │ things get really bad for her. Of course, legal advice and active forms │ of actually aiding her are also appreciated. │ │ Thanks in advance, I appreciate that you read through this and took │ your time to read it. I'd be really glad if you could chip in for this │ cause, and I'm pretty sure she'd appreciate that too. │ │ So... here's her PayPal address: │ tailsko-anita(at)SPAMSUCKSoutlook.com │ │ Of course replace (at) with @, and remove SPAMSUCKS from the address. │ If you decided to donate, then I'm really appreciative, and a greeting │ will be assured for your support (unless you wanna be anonymous!). │ Of course, if you don't have money or just don't wanna donate, it would │ be welcome to support her in other ways since every good deed counts. │ For example legal advice, motivation, etc. to keep her emotionally │ afloat in this harsh environment, give her some moral support and │ say some advice regarding the matters described. │ │ Thanks for attention and bothering to read this. :) I'm happy that │ you've cared enough to read through this! And well, see you and │ have a nice day, night or whatever time it is at where you at! Peace :) ────┘ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ nfo by TomoAlien
