4some by Mind Design
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- "4 - SOME" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This 4k should run on any Atari Falcon 030, RGB/VGA. (4MB ST-ram) you will need an FPU to run it too... If it does'nt run on your machine, drop us a mail describing your configuration. Credits --------------------------------------- Code...............................Deez Graphics(??).......................Deez --------------------------------------- Story ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This 4k was supposed to be released as an entry in the 4k compo at QuaST- party in Poland 7-9 aug '98. But the bad arrangments of the party made me change my mind... Anyway, here it is, its not as good as I intended to make it. (as always it seems) DHS-killer? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hehe, well, after Orneta'97, I promised evil i would beat him next Orneta. I wrote something about it on our homepage and soon everyone expected a "killer" 4k, even evil seem to have forgotten my little joke :) What about the fx? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bad ones, still using those blobs :) and the thing that most people would call bumpmapping isnt real bump, just some kinda lightsource on a pic :) Actually there is one effect in the demo i dont use (not very much atleast) The "MIND" logo zooms up to the viewer, its a TC polygonroutine, but i dont make full use of it... Slow plasma, even slower water... crap suff... Sorry to disappoint you all 4k-freax out there... Maybe I'll make a better one for another party. (seems like I never release my prods during parties though, bad trend isnt it?) Files ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4k_VGA.PRG is ofoz the VGA version of the intro, it uses 100Hz so beware!! I guess you know what the 4k_RGB.PRG is... it uses 50Hz The RGB version is just ported code from VGA, thats why the "fire" routine in the beginning looks crap on RGB (its crap on VGA too, but even worse on RGB :) The VGA version is a little bit faster than RGB coz I dont have to do the pixeldoubling myself. You can exit the intro anytime you want by pressing "ESC" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Greetings to everyone on the atari platform, special thanx to Grey/Mystic Bytes for helping us out during QuaST!! I once again apologize for my bad mood at QuaST :) Contact Us: minddesign@cornerpub.com (or deez@algonet.se) Fredrik Egeberg (deez) Hasselgatan 22 614 33 Söderköping SWEDEN Over and out... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- MIND-Design 1998 (http:\\www.mind-design.atari.org) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
