The MAIN point is, that Symbology is designed to run on 486/33MHz machine. │
This thing doesn't mean, that we can't code fast and nice looking effects │
without a 80486 based system. For example, Symbology was coded with pure │
Assembler. Regardless of fact, that we coded it with pure Assembler, it │
won't run smoothly on 386sx/16MHz machine. Notice, that Symbology includes │
quite complex effects, for example, complex landscape + 3D elastic vector │
cube with plasma effect on each side of cube. We also used 32-bit regis- │
ters, so this doesn't work on a 286. Also we don't recommend you to use │
QEMM or similar when running this intro, because it just slows down intro. │
Of course it works under QEMM or similar, but it's simply slower. You need │
about 500 kB for running Symbology. │
You can spread this production as much as you can, as long as you │
don't change executeable file, document, file_id.diz or anything in this │
whole production. Editing or changing files is extremely forbidden. Here's │
the list of files included in the package : │
                                                                              │

│■ INFORMATION ABOUT OUR MUSIC SYSTEM ■│
├─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
│
│ First something about music system, what we used in our intro. Nowadays
│ we have our very own module player/music system, so we don't need DSMI,
│ Goldplayer or similar anymore. It's always better to use your very own
│ player, if you have enough time to code that. Our music system is also
│ coded with pure Assembler. We decided to support these sound cards:
│
│ SOUND BLASTER Θ SOUND BLASTER PRO Θ GRAVIS ULTRASOUND
│
│ If you know any sound cards, which are worth of supporting & are quite
│ standard and used in world, we recommend you to send specifications of
│ sound cards to us, whereupon we are able to add good support for them.

                                                                              │
We are looking for distribution sites all over of the world. Remember, │
that ONLY ONE distribution site per country is accepted! For example, │
only one distribution site from Belgium, only 1 from Sweden etc. So if │
you want to be our distribution site, please be FAST! These are the │
rules for being a distribution site for us : │
                                                                              │
   ■ Your BBS has to include all ADMIRE releases ever made & they have to be │
always 100% free for download. Own filearea for ADMIRE recommended. │
   ■ Your BBS should be a demo-oriented BBS, not something like "You can │
find newest Windows stuffs from here!". I hope you got the point. │
   ■ Your BBS has to be open 24 hours per day and operate with a PC compa- │
tible machine with at least 9600 Bps modem. │
                                                                              │
Being distribution site of ADMIRE means, that your BBS will be always │
mentioned/listed in every ADMIRE production. Also you've a change to │
get all ADMIRE's future productions first hand and so on... │
                                                                              │

│ We are as well looking for new talented members. We don't accept musicians
│ any more, but CODERS and GRAPHIC ARTISTS are really welcome to join! If you
│ are a coder and want to join us you've to know well how to program with
│ Assembler. If you are a graphic artist instead you've to be able to do nice
│ pictures, logos etc. with 256 or 16 colors. If you're graphic artist you
│ can do pics with Amiga or Pc. That doesn't matter us, which computer you're
│ using, but it's recommended that you use Deluxe Paint or similar (hehe, we
│ know, that almost everyone is using Deluxe Paint in scene ;-)
│ So, if you want to join, just contact us immediately! Read entry "how
│ to contact us" for more information about contacting.
