Optimus: sad to hear it; It's a very FPU intensive effect. As for looking ugly, I can only assume that the palette setting code fails; I've uploaded a new .zip which contains a 'safe' version of the effect with no assumptions about the initial register contents at program startup time; maybe that works.
a quite good beginning for a real demo.
I am wondering how have I missed that before? I see now,. it was very slow, so I couldn't enjoy it. I didn't stayed to watch it much more and discover that the effect is upon an impressive rotating floor. Now,. my opinion is diferrent, see how views change on diferrent computers..
One of the best 256 byte intros I've ever seen.. though I guess the palette is a bit ugly. Not that I can really complain, it being a 256b.. :)
