@ham - the handwritten text started off as genuinely hand-written text! :) I scanned a copy of the paper I initially drew the text onto and put it into the github repo here :)
So no bezier curves were used, it was just me manually petscii'fying it char-by-char in some of my own basic tooling, "line.el", that was recording each petscii char and x,y pos along the journey so that it could be played back later within the demo :)
The .d81 disk image contains all the basic tooling (such as "line.el") used in the creation of the demo too, if anyone's curious to dig deeper under the bonnet :)
