might i suggest acid be taken in moderation :p

its great to see post 2020 amiga and Atari stuff so i can selfishly test my misterfpga atari and minimig cores, the game is a bit heavy on the sense tho :D

fyi it runs glitchless on minimig (fpga) but on UAE the menuscreen comes up like im running this on a 486 pc and i cant even get to the game, i dont have real amigas so that i cant say ... ganbarre !
I think you need the kickstart to run this smooth in UAE with A500 settings... or you tweak the UAE-Amiga-Processor to a faster one and so on...

This is quite a mixed bag: I like the long sample of "When the saints go marching in" and the monkey(?) creature farting musical notes, but the graphics are so glitchy I can't believe that it's by design.

I ran it on my stock A500 config on WinUAE with no issues :)

well the gaphics design was adapted to run smooth & easily on a ~35 year old machine... everything should fit on one full amiga500 disc and the 2 music songs need a lot of disc space although they are already compressed somehow...

Well it ain't pretty and tbh I'm not quite sure what it really is, but it's consistent and different, so what the heck, here's a thumb. :)

No pills and mushrooms needed anymore for going on a psychedelic
trip.
The prutt notes are based on the bass clef, aren't they?

sorry for my bad english undterstanding, but if you mean the sprites that the saxonphone pulls out: They are rather randomly moved or simply go up in the other mode & they flicker a little bit around since the amiga has only 8 hw sprites. So only 7 notes can be visible at same time (the 8. sprite is used for the saxophone-figure). All the rest is moved with the blitter. And some color cycling makes it "psychedelic" a little bit and also the fact that there is only 1 bitplane in memory wich is always shifted 1 pixel ond repeated in the other 4 bitplane slots of the 32 color mode of the amiga...

And yes it's perhaps constistent and different :-) perhaps mainly because most of the stuff was simply sketched on real paper and scanned with a normal paper scanner, so there is no map-scrolling algorithm and no "tiles" used like normally, its just big bitmaps dithered to only 1 bitplane (2 colors), and the objects that move in from the right also have no map they also come in with some random function wich mainly saved work & memory....

(by the way I just watched some of the demos you added or created.... (vangelis demo & paradise or something) .... I didn't know them by now but they seem like really serious amiga coder stuff... I guess the vangelis demo has also some color-cycling in itself... and the zoom rotating bars of the other demo are still a bit mysterous to me how to something like this with 7 Mhz)

I am sorry, it is my fault and has nothing to do with any "bad english
understanding" on your side. Sometimes I tend to speak in -
ambiguous and subtle - riddles. It is supposed to be funny but
obviously I am the only one who can chuckle. All the same, thanks for
your lines and the insights; interesting and offbeat approach with the
sketching and scanning :-)

Hi fmd2. Thanks a lot for the updates. Did some background research.
Aha, it is a game with art. Nice idea. But wasn't there a little sax player
- I call him "Prutty" - in the initial version? To be honest, I miss him a
bit.

yes there was some small test-figure. I think I still have it somewehere... but the amiga500 sprite dimensions (if only 1 sprite is used) are better suited for a backlit saxophone I think...
