Funny enuff, I was recently playing an incredible MSX2 remake.
This one is cool (as well).
The title screen is muy rico! Just gorgeous! Really. Perhaps the Wizard's left eye (and the right one when you look at him) could have been moved some px toward the nose... To make the face more symmetric.
As fir the ingame gfx.. Personally I can see that it was done by a 8bit (skilled) graphician. Big attention was paid to the details!
Another remark: The color of the numbers of lives should be darker, imo.
