Nice small thing on the CPC
After I've seen it in the stream, I guessed it would take long precalc times before start, to generate the raytraced animations. About 4 minutes here in the emul.
But I apprecaite the result, first time a demo tried to raytrace on CPC? (but in precalced long wait :). I wonder how it looks on real CPC monitor later I am going to check it.

This 4k was the best technically on cpc. But the realization is made to lose (voluntarily?). Why these 5 minutes of black screen? Why these uninteresting texts when they could have been used to indicate that it was raytracing and not a stupid animation?
Really it's a shame as for GAP to rush on the finishes.
But it's still impressive. This 4k deserved 2nd place and could have achieved it without these issues.

Schoolbook example of fugly on first sight, but... there's some malign pattern with GAP, it just grows on you, like the abyss staring at you. I hear the call... He's coming.

I first thought the 4 minutes of pre-computation were shameful, but went with it after having discovered how long some Amiga intros take to generate! It's still more challenging on CPC, since we don't have MBs to store stuff. This demo has to pack the enigma frames just after rendering them.
Anyway, mitigation in a future finale version.
An animation would have been more stunning than watered-down raytracing! I'm eager to see a player+video in 4k. I mean, in 4kB.

Grimmy... school example of susceptibility... There is no aggression in my remarks, it is a constructive criticism. I have a deep respect for Yves, he taught me so much. Instead, ask yourself why as soon as a criticism is something other than a shoe polish you feel attacked. It is certain that by saying only good things will evolve... Fortunately I think that Yves is much more intelligent and listens to what can be reproached to his productions.

It's technically impressive, but not totally convinced about the rendition. But I don't know what exactly it would take to improve the visuals (shade of a unique color/MODE 1/etc.?) so I will shut up :)

I initially though of crtc compatibility issue when I've seen this black screen. But no, was worth the wait although I have doubts about the shades (are they great or crap ?)

The Ephidrena record is more than 15 minutes precalc on a 4k called Coma. Because of using extended precision fpu instructions while not realizing those were software emulated. I'm fantasizing about a 4k that takes 1 year to precalc and just spend a year off keeping the precalc alive on a barge using a diesel power generator only to sail it into the port of .... Fallingbostel... just in time for the compo to start.
