Loved this amazing first part and the main colored diagonals. I focused on that great scroll as well. Wait, 1 nop, damn... It makes me think to one ST demo with a smaller split than usual. Great tune and gfx.

Really nice as usual. I will wait a bit before disassembling, but I vote for something related to multimode for the scroller. Probably for the raster bars too ; they seem less blocky than they should be

Nice! There's quite some things to figure out! Also, the demo seems to run without problems in Winape, while there's indeed too many glitches when using CPCEC.

I really like the One Screen Colonies format, dedicated to technical achievements never seen before! That is the proof the CPC always have something fresh to show today. Good effort to put some english text at the beginning for retired CPC demosceners not understanding what's going on.
This is not a "technical achievement never seen before" : It's a mode "R" effect which has been used in a Batman Group demo years ago.
Nevertheless the 2nd part of this intro is quite eye-catching to me, although it might have been worked on a little bit.
Unfortunately, as usual when it comes from Vanity, they are very agressive and condescending in their scroll texts. One of the people "greeted" into this intro told me he's filing a complaint against them.
This intro runs only on 1 CPC on 2 because they haven't managed to be compliant with every Amstrad CPC, justifying themselves this way : "Why should we make our demos run on the low-quality hardware of an ungrateful public ?". Just think, Vanity : You may earn or deserve gratitude, not claim for it ! And please don't hide your incompetence in CRTC adaptation under some kind of "elitist" considerations.

a bit disapointed by the quality of this prod - especially from an 'elite' groupe. Pressing a key to skip parts? ripped game music? in 2022? really?

Thumb up for scroller. Real gentlemen handle disputes in boxing ring or especially in scene case; in another yet better scroller. In english translation i can't even notice anything offensive. Only lies are offensive and they can be conquered with truth (the better scroller mentioned earlier).

Technically weaker than OSC#1 imo, which incidentally (or not) makes all the bragging even funnier (genius! :). Can't say I'm fond of the melody in the main part, but there are neat sounds in it. Yet a well polished and enjoyable tribute/release.

Ok, so my thumb-down as probably a bit unfair. Sorry for that. If I could take it back, I would turn in into a piggie, though, because I stand by critique(!) of the french problem. But the pouet comment section is not the best place to discuss that.
Cool diagonal raster and music! Looking forward to reverse-engineer how the diagonal raster bars are made.
I was mainly a guest for this production, so commenting and thumbing as such. So sue me. Figure of speech, don't sue me (*).

I was really impressed by the introduction page. CPC have no hard sprites, folks.
The mode 2 resolution makes it soooo fluid on the real machine (you may be able to emulate that next decade with 8k screens).
With the splits record and the splendid logo, that's a good slap in the face.
Re-re-used game music: call it hommage, appeal to nostalgia, denseness revealer, too bad it's not a pimped re-interpretation like in OSC#1.
Part 2: I almost failed to understand how they did it (that's pretty rare on CPC)! Very clever.

Liked what I've seen, works fine on my real CPC.
First part, it's impressive the number of sprites over split rasters, so smooth!
Second part, diagonal rasterbars are wow, I see this R technique that moves half mode 0 pixel is used, to make it look like mode 1 with full 16 colors. I guess also palette changing and/or vram offset per line? Wonder if a future improvement of the effect could also rotate those rasters in realtime (like the latest Benediction demo does with the kefren bars)

A good intro and a better challenge: the second half relies on the LA-7800 chip and it took a while till I got CPCEC to emulate it properly.
The whole thing is very polished with the classic Vanity quality ;) Solid code and great combination of colors.
One suggestion if I may: It would be great to do not limit your messages only for French-speaking users. We are already not that many CPC users around...

Nice style, and funky because I cant run this on using the OSSC, so the old CM8833 had to be brought out. Please do realize that not everyone can follow French scrollers; but the screen was nice!
