Very cool and fast goroud, texture-fx and hires-fx. Shadows kick as, too bad that this one is old and Shadows aren't active anymore...

Really good one from Konop and company.
I'm waiting for the next one (for few years already they say they *will* do something)

no other demo impressed me more on the Atari XL/XE! great stuff!
kick ass
cool.. this has chunky? or is this some sort of character display?
Impressive !
The usual XL/XE stuff. There is always a smooth gouraud cube out there :)
kicks ass
I couldn't right believe my eyes back then! For me it is THE 8-bit newschool demo
chunky effects, some smooth 3d and cool wild sync, esp at the wolf3d where the screen bumps with that insane sound. Blop!
Rocks hard!
Nice one, but short.
loadie: it has, yes. the video mode you see here is a nibble chunky mode: 1 hue, 16 luminance. it's available in the GTIA (1982). the older CTIA video chip has just 2 bit modes.

Asskicker!
Ass kicked.
Not bad but somehow a bit boring. Still, thumbs up for the code!
Best sounds and sync I've seen on my favourite system. Cedyn MUST have been on extasy while composing this tune. I love it and my ass feels kicked.
I remember it looked very impressive at the party. However, it didn't look that good later. I don't like the music and the design.

Shadows' quality!
Demo which started New Age in Atari's (8bit) demos. The Legend.
as the name says
It kicks ass even now (in 2011)!!!
Still jumping......
Asskicker
kicks ass!
This certainly lives up to it's name of Asskicker !!
It's an excellent example of 8-bit coding by Shadows, the supergroup based out of Poland. This is the first time I ever saw it on original hardware (thanks to Lotharek upgrading my 800XL with the 1mb Ultimate memory expansion) a couple of years or so ago. Well worth doing.
See it on original hardware if you can :)
cheers,
Felice.
