Before this, no-one could make a multi-color full-screen 50 FPS vertical scroll on Pentagon, and now it has been made, even with the music and some extra effects! Amazing.
i guess it's limited to pentagon, not possible on original 128k spectrum. still, nice feat!

This is definitely the most impressive scroller for Pentagon. It beats the fillrate limitation by implementing a differential updates scheme and combining this with the multicolour is a proper technical challenge, solved here for the first time.
Maybe it's hard to appreciate for people from other platforms, but scrolling with colour is properly hard on ZX Spectrum. Hard to the extent that it was commonly thought to be impossible not very long ago.

Great gfx/music and of impressive without colour clash, and from what can be read here, is a firstie on this platform... damn3d!
Very nice one-frame scroller, and quite an achievement! In the past I wrote a full-screen blitter too (Pentagon only), but it was much simpler and could only scroll up-down the first 6144 symbols (was essentially just a series of (LD HL,... PUSH HL).
I also think "50Hz Pentagon-only" is a misnomer, given Pentagon's 48.828Hz refresh rate ;-)
