Great visuals!
Crazy ambitious! I wonder if there is an actual DOS system that can run it >30fps.
Thank you for comments in the source!

Good stuff!
Very good stuff!
conclusion to the trilogy.
brings nothing new on the table but it looks soo good! also nice catchy tune. well done 1k :)
Smooth! What resolution does it run in?
Great! And good to see some 1ks or more than 256b, where there is still potential from the tiny size coders
Runs smooth with sound - as is - on my Samsung R519 =)
See capture (warning, contains an actual cat^^)
I think this is an excellent intro. Perfectly bridging the gap between old and new school.

Great balls of 1k!
winner!
That's a very cool intro with another nice soundtrack in EinKlang again ;).
I see a lot of room for shader-free complex 3D stuff in 1k.
Now it looks like 1k intros contain as much content as 4k did in the 90's (not only yours, but in general). Or asked the other way round: Why did you need 4k before? ^^
My 512b JS intro is also a sequel to maybe the first metaballs in <=4K. But why did I need 3K? ;)

Impressive!
why wasn't this in the 1k compo? Would've won there. Yeah its Freedos....so what?

awesome balls and great music, what else? :)
Nice
Only just watched back the assembly 1K intro compo to find out this cool entry was not included in the 1K compo but in the wild instead ;-(
Very sorry to hear you got robbed on this. Given the quality of the rest of the 1K intros shown, this would have easily won the compo imho.

Shiny stuff, quite nice tune.
cool balls
Crazy production 1k in DOS
and hella amazing
and hella amazing
Sucks that this is wild. Great production.
This is quite likely the best DOS 1k I've seen. Definitely should have been the winner of the 1k compo.
Even in the real wild compo, this should have won. My entry was utter garbage compared to this.

A whole different ball game! Really like the scene with the blue balls.
What superogue said. If the audience fails to give this one the proper recognition, i will do it myself =)
It should have entered the 1k compo!
Chrome Revenge is a SOLID 1kb DOS prod that touches a really different chord than the other 1kb. I could see it rank pretty high in the 1k compo!

good
amazing
What does this actually need to run?
I've tried it on a 2.6 GHz Athlon XP system (SSE1). Used both the AMD and Intel executables (and the 'Capture' version), with a bunch of GPUs from AMD/ATI, Nvidia, SiS, and even 3Dfx.
In all cases I either get a black screen with music playing, or it just sticks at the DOS prompt and the music plays.
Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Everyone's talking about the balls, how about the music!!! It's simple, but the melody is catchy and I actually caught myself whistling the tune long afterwards :) It's so much better than just sending code to the sound output and calling it a day.
Looks very clean and those reflections and shadows look correct to me. Considering only every 3rd pixel is raytraced I would think there would be more obvious artefacts.
Great stuff. The platform is a bit obscure though.
Nice!
That's a good-looking xmas scene!
oO
Very cool!
Super impressive. Looks good and sounds good too!
Wow.
Great visual and catchy music. Shines for me.
O_o--b
WOW this is a DOS, high res, pc-speaker ?! The first time I saw it I thought it was for Windows using GPU! LOL Impressive! Thanks for the detailed technical write :)
Classic!
great!
Wow! It's about time we have high res DOS intros.
This is so cool. Hi-res realtime raytracing!
Cool raytracing! And cool sound! To be continued, I hope? :)
Wow!
Forgot to thumb this up. More SSE tiny intros!
this is neat!
